How people set goals? Is there a strategy that everyone follows? How high do they target? What is the base minimum for their goals? Every time I see flashy posts in Linkedin at the end of the year, I get nervous. I often question myself, am I settling for too little or am I just over thinking about setting goals.

Why set goals at all?

I think every year, if this causes so much pressure why should I set it at all. Why can’t I just let everything go as it is! Well, as a person who has very little focus and fight every moment to keep focus in place, I find it very rewarding to have a roadmap to target for throughout the year. Most of the time, I failed with flying color. Still, I do it and I will do it again. I do it so that I can have a roadmap for something to worth living for.

Thankful section!

What good of a setting goal article it would be if I don’t express some thanks to people that helped me through out the last year.

  • First and foremost, my wife, Titlee. She is the one who kept everything in my family in line while giving me most of the time to do things that I love. Without her, nothing could be possible.
  • My daughters, Aaisha and Alisha. They are the constant inspirations of mine to live a long life.
  • My father, with whom I speak most of the days only to hear things that would keep me grounded.
  • A strong group of friends and seniors whom I find whenever I needed…
